REGULAR HOURS
(March 13 to November 5)

Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Last admission sold at 4 p.m. Members admitted until 4:30 p.m. (Subject to change based on serious weather conditions. Please call or check the Zoo's Website before your visit on stormy days.)

Children's Zoo open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except as noted:
 
Family Farm 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Insect Zoo 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Animal Resource Center 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Lion House is open from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WINTER HOURS (November 6 to March 12) 

Open daily 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last admission sold is at 3:30 p.m. (Subject to change based on holiday weekends or serious weather conditions. Please call or check our Web site before your visit on stormy days.)

San Francisco Zoological Society Members receive FREE admission with annual Membership.

Free Days for San Francisco Residents

The first Wednesday of every month, admission to the Zoo is free for San Francisco residents only. Please show proof of residency through a valid driver license, identification card or utility, phone or other local bill, delivered to your home address.

Group Rates

Group Policy and Requirements
Must register 2-3 weeks in advance. Admittance without reservation is not guaranteed. Groups must be 15 or more. Less than the required amount regular rates will be charged. 1:5 ratio chaperones. Payment must be made on the day of the visit by cash, check, credit card & purchase order. No prepayment is accepted.

San Francisco School Groups

SF Unified school district, public, private, colleges, universities, DCYF (C.A.P.) funded organizations. (List provided by the Education Department) 

Admission: Free for children and chaperones within the 1:5 ratio. $12 for chaperones above the 1:5 ratio.
